The Make Good Choices program was started several years ago as a way to help young people understand the importance of making good life choices, and the consequences of making bad ones. Each month during the school year, the Wichita Crime Commission sponsors field trips led by high school School Resource Officers to area prisons where students learn first hand the impact making bad decisions can have on their lives. In addition, the Wichita Crime Commission has a new program that expands the Make Good Choices program to elementary school-age children.
